How The Great Pyramid of Giza Was Really Built

The Great Pyramid of Giza is one of the seven wonders in the world. There are many mysteries surrounding this ancient landmark. One of them is how it was built?I will get to that question later. But first let us get to know some facts regarding this landmark.

It was built for the Pharaoh who was known as KHUFU. It was completed around 2560 BCE.  It is the only pyramid in Egypt which is eight sided. It remained the tallest structure in this world for over 3800 years. It consists of 2.3 million stone blocks.
In the past it reflected the sunlight as it was covered with highly polished limestone. We can't see these casing stones today because they fell off because of an earthquake in the 14th century.

Long Unsolved Mystery

Now let's get back to the question. This question gave birth to many theories. Many people still believe that the Great Pyramid of Giza was built by beings not of this world. Mainly because of its such accurate structure. This structure is too much precise and genuine for the people in that time and during construction wheels were not used for carrying as they were not invented in that time. It is one of structures in this world which faces true north. There are many fascinating geographical and astronomical facts surrounding the Great Pyramid of Giza. Some even have theories that includes levitation. But none of this is true.

The truth is that it took great minds and hard-work of the ancient Egyptians. First they had to carry stone blocks of limestone and granite from Tura to the construction site. For the transportation they used boats. They moved limestone and granite through the Nile. Then the had to transform the landscape by creating artificial canals from Nile to the construction site. During the construction they used various slops to carry the heavy stone blocks to the higher portion of the pyramid. But wheels were not used. The Pharaohs of ancient Egypt had unlimited wealth. So they hired the most talented and famous architects during that period. Even though they had a large amount of slaves, they hired specialized workers for building this magnificent ancient structure.

This theory is backed up by an old scroll which was recently uncovered by archaeologists. It's 4500 years old and it belonged to an overseer of the construction who has noted the work process. it's in Egyptian Hieroglyphs.

We sometimes want to believe that there is a large mystery behind  the process of this construction. But in fact, it was built by humans. Just the design of brilliant architects baffles us to this day.
